Do you ever wonder if your role model, be it from any field of work – maybe your favorite artist, pubic speaker, actor, writer, singer, life coach, etc. If they hadn’t followed their dream, do you think you would have got even the slightest of a chance to know them? Absolutely not!
If you look closely at the careers I have mentioned above, you will see that I am referring to all the unconventional careers. Mainly because a person following something conventional, they get all kinds of support. Everyone will support them even before they reach their goal.
Just by saying that you are pursuing this so-called conventional profession, people will be like Wow, that’s great. Good luck, make us proud.
On the other hand, if you say that you are following your dream of becoming a dancer or something unconventional, the same set of people will still be there but not to wish you good luck or support you.
I am not saying it’s bad, I am just trying to emphasize on the fact that people do not get the same kind of support when they decide to do something unconventional. Nobody is hooting for them until they make it BIG and that’s my only point.
OK NOT TO BE OK is a song that I found recently, it talks about mental health and the stigma around it. Thanks to Demi Lovato and Marshmello for making a song around this topic. I am glad people with fame are using their voices to spread an important message.
Do listen to this amazing composition, it will definitely lift your mood instantly.
And remember, IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY.
