We are not …
We are not the echoes of childhood trauma.
We are not the numbers on our report card.
We are not the degrees we began but left unfinished.
We are not the awards that we received and got forgotten about.
We are not the whispers of what others think.
We are not our follower count,
Nor the name of the company we work for.
We are not the resume we submit.
We are not the mistakes of our past.
We are not our income, our car, our house.
We are not bound by the pressure to be perfect.
We are not defined by how loudly we speak or how often we are seen.
We are definitely not our failures, and certainly not our fears.
We are not the shadows of our darkest thoughts.
But we are …
We are the dreams we don’t give up on and that we cherish.
We are the love we give— freely, fully, without expectation.
We are the quiet kindness we show when no one is watching.
We are the resilient strength that anchors us through chaos.
We are the subtle growth, even when progress feels slow.
We are the unwavering courage that makes us get up and propels us to seek light in darkness.
We are our actions—shaped not by what we say, but by what we do.
We are the values we choose to embody, day by day.
We are the profound questions we dare to ask.
We are the calming presence we bring into a room.
We are the empathy woven into our conversations.
We are the inner fire that refuses to extinguish.
We are the truth we live by, even when it’s inconvenient.
We are the story still unfolding—raw, real, and beautifully human.
Yes, learning and skills hold immense value—
but who we become in the process matters infinitely more.
It’s not merely about knowing, but profoundly about being.
Each day, we embark on our unique journey, striving to understand ourselves a little better.
