Brave

Sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is show up before you’re ready.
This is my story— and perhaps yours too.

“It’s not that brave to say you don’t care about possessions when you have access to everything in the world.
It’s not that brave to say you aren’t motivated by money when you already have enough of it.
It’s not that brave to say you love your body only after you’ve shaped it into exactly what you want it to be.”

These powerful lines from Brianna Wiest’s book — The Mountain Is You, deeply resonated with me.💡

She argues that by saying these things after we’ve achieved them, we only reinforce the belief that we can’t be okay until everything is perfect.

As she beautifully puts it, 📖

“You change your life when you start showing up exactly as you are. You change your life when you become comfortable with being happy here, even if you want to go forward. You change your life when you can love yourself even though you don’t look exactly the way you want to”.

I know many CA Final aspirants, myself included, often wait for ‘perfection’ before taking a leap. Often, they imagine their first post would be a success story — a CA prefix — a celebration.

If you’ve been waiting, maybe this is your sign to begin, even before the day arrives.

My personal blog, @thejourney2home.com, has been active since 2019, but I never shared its content anywhere else. For years, I simply didn’t consider it.

But after my exam failures, the thought of sharing felt even more daunting.

When I asked myself, “Who am I ?”, all I could hear was the echo of failure— Because I had wrongly tied my exam results to my sense of self-worth.

I kept telling myself,
🔸I’ll post when I finish designing my site.
🔸I’ll share once I get consistent.
🔸I’ll share when my post designs are ‘creative enough’.
🔸I’ll share when I feel completely ready.

But that day never really came when all the stars were perfectly aligned.

And perhaps – it doesn’t have to.

So here I am – still not feeling fully ready, still not perfect.
But I’m showing up anyway.

This post is my way of saying:
I’m here. As I am. Not perfect. But present.
And this is just the beginning.🌱

What’s the bravest thing you’ve done lately? I’d love to know. Let’s celebrate it together.🎉
