Something positive happened today which made me believe in the existence of kind and big hearted people. Though my overall day was tiring (as I am sick) and also confusing, two angels made me smile today.
So, what happened was! I had gone to office and as soon I reached office, within half an hour I got a call from the Director saying he wants me to go to the client place (which was 8 kms away) in the second half. Within 15 minutes, I get a call from my immediate senior and he wanted me to leave for the client place immediately. So, I booked Ola Bike and I started from the office. I had my bag pack, a separate lunch bag and earphones plugged with phone in my hand. Once I had spotted the Ola guy, I told him the OTP and he handed me the helmet saying the police has already fined him thrice as the person sitting on the passenger seat wasn’t wearing helmet.
As I was in a hurry I took the helmet and I wore it. On the way, I again got a call from my immediate senior asking where I was, I couldn’t hear him as we were travelling so I repeated myself loud enough so that he can hear me. Post the call, I put the phone in my side pocket and I started observing and capturing the route in my head as it was my first time going at that client place. After some minutes, suddenly there was a break and I realised something fell off my pocket as the earphones came out and my pocket became lighter. I checked my pocket, the phone wasn’t there. I told the Ola guy to stop the vehicle as I had dropped my phone somewhere. I looked back and I saw a man on a scooty who was behind us stopping his vehicle and stopping other vehicles by show of hand from stepping on the phone. Till then my Ola guy had stopped the vehicle on the side of the road and I was watching over the Angel. He picked my phone and looked up. He was looking for the scooty that was ahead of him and the passenger who seem to have dropped the phone. I waved at him so that he knows we were there and we were waiting for him. He came towards us and he handed me my phone and I said “Thank you so much Anna, Thank you”. I was so grateful for the man, his awareness and sharpness that had given me my phone in a working condition. One second of lost awareness could have given me nothing or could have given me a broken phone. Thinking about the whole incident and I feel lucky and relieved.
I met my second angel in disguise in the evening while coming back from the client place. It was around 7pm when I left from the office, as I had mentioned above that it was my first time going to this place. I didnt know the route. So once I came out of the building, I saw three security guards. I asked them where can I get the bus/share auto to xyz location. One of the security guard came in front and started explaining me in his language which I understood somewhat but he thought I wasn’t able to catch him so he asked me, do you know the language. I said, little bit. He then tried explaining me in broken english but maybe my face seemed to be clueless so he said, I will show you the bus stop and he took the lead. He came till the end and he also spoke to the driver saying drop her at xyz location and I could just say with a big smile on my face, “Thank you so much Anna, Thank you”.
